Nitin Makan serves as the Business Head for Aero Engines, bringing over two decades of distinguished leadership in aerospace manufacturing and operations. Prior to joining Azad, he led plant operations at TATA Advanced Systems, where he played a pivotal role in delivering complex aero structures for global aerospace leaders including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Airbus, Sikorsky, and Pilatus Aircraft.
In his current role, Nitin oversees the full production lifecycle of critical aero-engine components. He is also instrumental in new product development and in strengthening stabilized programs through strategic capability building and workforce upskilling.
Nitin holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management from XLRI and a Diploma in Tool & Die Technology from the Central Tool Room, Ludhiana. His unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen informs a leadership approach centered on talent development, sustainable operations, and collaborative problem-solving.
